sofa bed BR 02
Martin Visser designed the sofa BR 02.7 in the late 1950’s. The sofa has been in production ever since. In 1988, the loose armrest was added. A simple movement converts the sofa into a sofa bed. The sofa and armrest are available in the fabric of your choice. However, because of the austere shape of the design, the use of an elastic fabric is recommended. The frame is made of matt chrome-plated metal.

Sofa Spock
In 2004 Spectrum introduced SPOCK, a new line of seating, together with a line of tables KIT. Spectrum’s external art director Paul Linse, designed this refined line extension for both private as public venues. Spock is available as an easy chair, two-seater, three-seater and as a foot stool. The easy chair can also be delivered with a swivel frame. The mechanism in this frame makes sure that the base will always return to it’s front position. The architectural design and the grafic character is clearly visible as back, armrests and seat don’t seem to meet. Spock can be upholstered in any fabric required. However, because of the austere shape of the design, the position of the seams and the openings in the design, the use of an elastic fabric is recommended. Spock can also be covered in leather. The seat and the back of the two-seater will have one seam in the covering. The three- seater gets two seams in the upholstery of seat and back.

easy chair sz 01 & 02
The easy chairs SZ 01 en SZ 02 were designed by Martin Visser in 1960. The SZ 01 was originally woven from pulp cane, but in the middle of the nineties this was replaced by synthetic cane. This was because the pulp cane that could still be obtained in the Netherlands was not of the required quality. Synthetic cane is both flexible and strong. It retains its colour and is easy to clean. The armchairs are available in black, off white and natural (caramel-coloured) synthetic cane (SZ 01) The easy chairs are also available in black and natural saddle leather (SZ 02). Natural leather is a non coloured leather and will darken under the influence of light. It will be delivered in an almost pink tone and fade into a warm cognac tone. The time it will take to fade from a pink tone into a cognac tone will depend on the amount and the kind of light, but it will take at least several months. Saddle leather will also stretch a little over time. Any marks on the leather should not be considered as faults. These merely confirm the authenticity and quality of saddle leather. The leather seat has a lace at the bottom, which gives the possibility to tighten the seat after a while. The back of the chair has a buckle, so also the back can be tightened. The frames are made of matt chrome-plated metal.
