In April 2005, Tom Ford announced the creation of the Tom Ford Brand.  Ford was joined in the venture by former Gucci Group presidend and Chief Executive Officer Domenico De Sole, who serves as chairman of the company.  In that same year, Ford announced his partnership with Marcolin Group to produce and distribute optical and sunwear frames to be sold at select retailers in the United States and around the world.  Since that time, Ford’s “eye” for style and design has made his collection a favorite among the fashion forward around the globe.  He continues to challenge the boundaries of fashion and remains one of the most influential names in fashion.  


Tom Davies® studied Film and Television at the University of East Anglia before flying to China, aged 21, with his backpack to work for a startup eyewear factory. Cutting his teeth on the factory floor, Tom helped build production from scratch whilst designing for other brands the world over. Returning to London in 2000, Tom set up his couture business, creating spectacles and sunglasses for the Rich and Famous.Even at £5,000 a frame, Tom’s waiting list sometimes ran to 12 months. Tom then decided to set up a Ready to Wear line, which was offered through top boutique opticians across the world. In 2008, Tom opened his own factory and now offers a full bespoke service through his global network of exclusive opticians.
